Tensile Strength ≥ 515 MPa
Yield Strength ≥ 205 MPa
Elongation ≥ 40%
Hardness According to applicable specification
PVD Matte Black Surface

The matte black finish is produced using a Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) process. The coating is deposited onto the stainless steel surface in a controlled vacuum environment.

Compared with a mirror black finish, matte black has a lower-gloss appearance and reduced surface reflection. It is suitable for architectural projects requiring a dark, understated, and modern appearance.

The final appearance can be affected by the substrate finish, coating parameters, lighting, viewing angle, and production batch.

Surface Finish Options
Substrate Finish Surface Appearance
2B Smooth, low-gloss surface
No.4 Fine brushed texture
Hairline Directional linear texture
Mirror High-reflective surface
Manufacturing Process

Step 1: Stainless Steel Sheet Preparation

304 stainless steel sheets are selected according to the required grade, thickness, size, and substrate finish.

Step 2: Surface Cleaning

The stainless steel surface is cleaned and prepared to remove contaminants before the PVD process.

Step 3: PVD Coating

The prepared sheets are placed into a vacuum coating chamber where the PVD coating is deposited onto the stainless steel surface.

Step 4: Matte Black Finish Control

Coating parameters are controlled to achieve the required matte black appearance and surface consistency.

Step 5: Protective Film

PVC or PE protective film can be applied to reduce scratching and contamination during handling and transportation.

Step 6: Final Inspection

Finished sheets are inspected for dimensions, surface appearance, coating uniformity, and other agreed requirements.
