304 PVD Vacuum Coated Colored Stainless Steel Sheet 8K Mirror Finish For Construction Projects
Product Overview

This 304 PVD stainless steel sheet is developed for construction and architectural projects where both surface appearance and material performance need to be considered. It combines a polished 8K mirror substrate with a PVD decorative coating to create a reflective colored metal surface.

The 304 stainless steel base provides a combination of corrosion resistance, strength and fabrication capability, while the 8K surface gives the sheet a highly reflective architectural appearance. The PVD layer is available in different metallic colors to match project design requirements.

Rather than supplying the sheet only as a standard decorative material, we can prepare the product according to project specifications, including thickness, width, length, surface finish, color, cutting requirements and protective film.

Typical uses include elevator interiors, wall panels, columns, ceilings, entrance areas, hotel interiors, commercial buildings and other architectural metalwork.

Bulk project orders can be supplied with material documentation, dimensional inspection and surface inspection according to the agreed purchase requirements.

8K Mirror Substrate for PVD Finishing

The appearance of a PVD colored stainless steel sheet depends not only on the coating color but also on the condition of the stainless steel substrate underneath it.

For this product, the 8K mirror finish provides a highly polished and reflective base before PVD coating. A well-prepared mirror surface helps produce a cleaner visual effect and makes the final metallic color more uniform across the sheet.

For large architectural projects, substrate consistency is important when multiple sheets are installed next to each other. Thickness, polishing quality, surface cleanliness and color consistency should therefore be considered together during procurement.

The 8K mirror surface can be supplied with a removable protective film to reduce scratching and handling marks during fabrication, transportation and installation.

Common PVD combinations include:

  • 304 8K Mirror Gold Stainless Steel
  • 304 8K Mirror Black Stainless Steel
  • 304 8K Mirror Bronze Stainless Steel
  • 304 8K Mirror Rose Gold Stainless Steel
  • 304 8K Mirror Champagne Stainless Steel
  • 304 8K Mirror Titanium Stainless Steel

The final surface appearance depends on the stainless steel substrate, polishing condition, PVD coating parameters and lighting conditions.

PVD Surface System

The PVD finish is applied over the prepared stainless steel surface to create a colored metallic appearance without relying on conventional liquid paint.

For architectural stainless steel, the final appearance is influenced by several factors, including the 304 substrate, mirror polishing condition, surface cleanliness, coating parameters and viewing angle.

The PVD process is therefore treated as part of the overall surface system rather than simply a color applied to stainless steel. This approach is useful when the project requires consistent appearance across multiple sheets or different batches.

Available finishes can include gold, champagne, bronze, rose gold, black and other project-specific metallic colors. Final color selection should be confirmed using an approved sample where appearance consistency is critical.

Applications in Construction and Architecture

304 PVD 8K mirror stainless steel sheet is commonly selected when an architectural project requires a reflective metallic surface combined with the fabrication characteristics of stainless steel.

Typical project applications include:

  • Elevator cabin walls and decorative panels
  • Elevator door panels
  • Interior wall cladding
  • Column and pillar coverings
  • Ceiling panels
  • Entrance and lobby features
  • Hotel interior decoration
  • Shopping mall interiors
  • Commercial building interiors
  • Decorative partitions and doors
  • Reception and feature walls
  • Architectural metalwork

For exterior applications, project conditions such as exposure, cleaning methods, installation design and coating requirements should be evaluated before material selection.

PVD Color Approval for Architectural Projects

For large construction projects, selecting a PVD color only from a product photograph may not be sufficient. Lighting, viewing angle, mirror reflectivity and surrounding materials can affect the perceived color.

For project orders, the required color can be confirmed before bulk production. Where appearance matching is important, an approved physical sample can be used as the reference for subsequent production.

Procurement teams can provide the required color, reference sample, project finish schedule or other available specifications. The agreed sample and surface requirements should be confirmed before placing the bulk order.

Custom Fabrication for Construction Orders

Large architectural projects often require stainless steel sheets to be prepared according to panel dimensions rather than supplied only in standard mill sizes.

Available processing can include:

  • Cut-to-size
  • Cut-to-length
  • Shearing
  • Slitting
  • Laser cutting
  • Edge trimming
  • Drilling
  • Bending

For quotation and production, procurement teams can provide drawings, finished dimensions, tolerances, required quantity and installation details. This allows the material supply to be matched with the project's fabrication requirements.

Protective film can be retained during processing and shipment where required to reduce the risk of surface damage before installation.

Inspection and EN 10204 3.1 MTC

Construction projects may require more than a basic product specification. Material documentation and inspection requirements can be agreed before production.

Available quality documentation and inspection items include:

  • Stainless steel grade verification
  • Chemical composition
  • Mechanical properties
  • Thickness measurement
  • Width and length measurement
  • Flatness inspection
  • Surface appearance inspection
  • 8K mirror surface inspection
  • PVD color and coating appearance inspection
  • Quantity verification
  • Heat number traceability
  • EN 10204 3.1 Material Test Certificate

Third-party inspection can also be arranged when required by the purchasing contract or project quality plan.

Why Specify 304 PVD 8K Mirror Stainless Steel?

For architectural projects, material selection is often based on several requirements at the same time rather than appearance alone.

Reflective architectural appearance
The 8K mirror substrate provides a bright, highly reflective surface suitable for modern interior and architectural designs.

Metallic color without conventional paint
PVD creates a colored metallic surface while retaining the underlying stainless steel substrate.

304 stainless steel base
304 offers a widely used combination of corrosion resistance, strength and fabrication performance.

Consistent sheet-to-sheet appearance
Surface preparation and color approval can be controlled for projects requiring multiple sheets to be installed together.

Processing flexibility
Sheets can be supplied in standard dimensions or prepared according to project cutting requirements.

Project documentation
MTC, dimensional inspection and surface inspection can be included according to the purchase specification.
