This 305 stainless steel solid bar is a specialized 300-series austenitic material, manufactured to comply with GB, DIN, EN and BS mainstream global standards. Unlike conventional 304, 304L, 304Ti and other structural or high-temperature focused grades we introduced before, 305 is optimized specifically for repeated cold forming and deep stamping processes. It features low work-hardening rate, outstanding ductility and excellent anti-fatigue performance during multiple bending and shaping, making it a preferred raw material for mass-produced industrial stamped and formed parts. Adopting refined smelting and precision rolling processes, the rod body has uniform internal grain, stable dimensional accuracy and consistent batch performance, fully meeting the stringent requirements of standardized industrial production across different regions.
The biggest competitive edge of 305 lies in its suppressed work-hardening characteristic, which fundamentally differentiates it from other common 300-series stainless steels. Regular 304, 302 will rapidly increase hardness and lose ductility after cold processing; when conducting secondary or multiple stamping, bending and deep drawing, material cracking, springback and forming failure easily occur. In contrast, 305 is formulated with adjusted nickel-chromium ratio to slow down work hardening. It maintains soft texture and good ductility even after multiple rounds of cold forming, perfectly adapting to complex multi-step shaping procedures in industrial manufacturing.
It retains the classic merits of austenitic stainless steel: reliable atmospheric corrosion resistance, resisting oxidation, discoloration and slight moisture erosion in ordinary industrial workshops. The material stays non-magnetic after processing, which satisfies the usage demands of precision electromechanical parts and instruments that prohibit magnetic interference.
In terms of mechanical performance, 305 has moderate tensile strength and excellent stress relaxation ability.
