5083 6061 Aluminum Plate Coated Industrial Alloy Aluminium Sheet

5083 aluminum alloy plate is the core grade of Al-Mg series anti-corrosion aluminum alloy, with magnesium as the main alloying element. It combines high strength, excellent corrosion resistance, superior weldability and low-temperature stability. It cannot be strengthened by heat treatment, but its strength can be improved by cold working. Widely used in harsh scenarios such as marine engineering, pressure vessels, transportation and low-temperature equipment, it is the preferred structural material with both lightweight and reliability.

  • Weldability: Excellent, suitable for MIG/TIG welding; recommended welding wire: 5183/5356; weld strength can reach 95% of the base metal
  • Formability: O temper is easy to bend, stamp and deep-draw; H116/H321 requires greater forming force; thick plates (≥6mm) are suitable for hot working (150-260℃)
  • Surface Treatment: Anodizing, spraying and polishing are available to further improve corrosion resistance and aesthetics
