JUDE STEEL has expanded its decorative metal portfolio with a new ASTM A240 304 embossed colored stainless steel sheet, giving architects, interior designers and fabricators a surface that pairs tactile texture with controlled metallic color. The launch responds to a steady shift in specification habits: buyers no longer want metal panels that simply reflect light — they want surfaces that add relief, shadow and character to a wall, a lobby or a facade.

2Why textured, colored stainless steel is gaining ground

Flat decorative sheet has dominated interior metalwork for years, but designers are increasingly asking for depth. An embossed pattern scatters reflected light, softens the hard glare of mirror-polished surfaces and helps conceal the small marks that appear during handling and installation. Layered with a colored coating, the panel reads as a deliberate design element rather than a plain metal face — which is exactly the brief on many premium hospitality, retail and commercial interiors today.

3A new option built on proven 304 stainless

The new sheet is produced from 304 austenitic stainless steel and supplied to ASTM A240 requirements. It is available in 0.8–2.0 mm thickness across a standard 1219 × 2438 mm panel, finished with an embossed pattern and a PVD or decorative color layer in tones such as gold, champagne, bronze, black and rose gold. Custom patterns, project colors and cut-to-size processing can be arranged, and an EN 10204 3.1 MTC is available for procurement teams that require full material traceability.

Compared with a smooth colored panel, the embossed version trades a perfectly uniform reflection for a richer, three-dimensional look and a surface that is more forgiving in day-to-day use.
